The 100 kW / 186 kWh energy storage system, equipped with Socomec's HES L unit and Energy Toolbase's Acumen EMS controls software, offers microgrid islanding capabilities and demand charge management. This enables the dealership to avoid utility demand charges, participate in grid service demand response programs, and power the EV charging station during a grid outage. The dealership aims to optimize electricity consumption during peak periods and reduce retail rates by enrolling in programs like Con Edison's Commercial System Relief Program and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Distribution Load Relief Program.
