Tesla has updated its timeline for producing volume volumes of its electric semi-truck, Tesla Semi. Production is now planned for late 2025. The program has seen delays since it was first unveiled in 2017, with the official production beginning in late 2022. Despite entering production over a year ago, production has been limited, and only about 70 units have been built. Tesla is using data from pilot programs to optimize the vehicle for high-volume manufacturing and is constructing a new factory in Reno, Nevada.
