The University of Denver (DU) is partnering with Pivot Energy to construct on-campus solar facilities and off-site net-metering projects totaling over 23 MW. This will allow DU to offset its electricity consumption, contributing towards its goal of carbon neutrality. The collaboration includes a 1.2-MW on-site solar system at Ritchie Center and six off-site net metering solar projects. The university aims to eliminate scope two greenhouse gas emissions and reduce half of its carbon footprint. The projects are expected to take 24-36 months for completion.
