Verogy, a Connecticut-based solar developer, has completed a 139.5 kW rooftop solar project at the York Judicial Center in Biddeford, Maine. This is the first solar project for the State of Maine Judicial Branch and will reduce the building's carbon footprint significantly. The project aligns with Maine's sustainability goals, which include reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. Maine has pledged to generate renewable energy for publicly funded buildings like the York Judicial Center as part of its "Maine Wont Wait" plan. The project will produce over 162 MWh of clean energy annually, under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Verogy and the Maine Judicial Branch.
